Getting their arms!!

Finished painting my large Uncle Sams and now it is time for their arms to be added.  In this photo I have base coated their arms and fixing to paint them blue to match their coats.. While they are drying I am going to get them ready for their arms to be attached, then ,they will be FINISHED!!! My 5 cloth Uncle Sams are base coated.  Tonight,  I will draw on their clothes and get them ready for paint tomorrow...Until then HAPPY Thursday and Enjoy!!!

Faces done....Yay!

OK..I got all of my cloth Uncle Sam's faces done!!! Now to let them dry and hopefully get to paint them today!!!Its sunny and very HOT, so I hope that will hurry up the drying!! I also got to base coat the tall Uncle Sam's hats last night , so I can start painting them and getting them finished up!!

HATS!!!!!

Let me count the ways I HATE hats!!! The hats you see in the photo below is my 3rd set of hats for these guys!!! The first hats I had cut out and glued together, were not tall enough...My husband was walking by when I had put the hats on their heads to see what they were going to look like.....He noticed that I was staring at them and said "they are to short, that's why you don't like them"...I asked what makes you think I don't like them? and he said "you have been staring at them to long!!!" He was right they were to short!!! (Hehehehe)...So I tossed them and made a set from paper and foam plate but they didn't work either!!! I kept thinking and thinking until I came up with this set and I am very satisfied!!!! I still need to put the finishing touches before painting but at least I have a set I like!!!!!!!!!

In this photo my cloth and clay Uncle Sams are ready for the sculpting of their faces!!!

My Uncle Sams have their faces!!! I did get to fill in some of the clothes...So here is a couple of photos of them. I will be cutting and making hats tomorrow along with filling in the rest of the clothes!!!!! I will take a photo of the hats tomorrow..

Today I am working on Uncle Sams...I am going to start to paint these four while I have five that are  waiting for their fluff!!

Thought I would take a quick photo of this painting I am working on...

I started painting in their faces...Hope to get back to them Friday...I had to set them aside because I have this large project I am finishing up painting!!! I am getting paid so that is a plus!!!(Hehehe).

Ok....Finally, I finished my Steam punk style dollie!!!!!!She has been very patient as I made and gathered all of her accessories!!!! and today was her day!!!

This is her head shot..Hehehehe!!..I made her hat from a plastic cup and Styrofoam plate..Her hair is made from paper towel....Her goggles are clay,paper towel and hot glue!!!Her shirt is made from paper towel.... Her corset is made from clay and painted to look like metal!!

Here is a close up of the watch I  made from a plastic cup, clay and painted to look like metal.. The chain I purchased at goodwill..The face of the clock is a clip art I printed ans glued to the watch..

I had so much fun with her and I already want to do more Steam punk style dollies!!!!!
